Corona Geek #184 – Daily vs Public Builds, Calling C Libraries, and EAT Tools

On this week’s Corona Geek podcast, the panel debated the merits of using daily builds versus public builds for development. Public builds are stable snapshots in time, but daily builds have the latest and greatest feature updates and bug fixes. So which should you use?

Steve Johnson also expanded our brains with a look at Lua FFI FB, a library for calling C functions and manipulating C types from Lua. We also explored the FreeImage library and ArrayFire, “a blazing fast software library for GPU computing.”

Plus, Ed Maurina shared why he’s decided to break his game development tools into separate apps, rather than publish them as a single tool.
