Hangout with Corona Geek and 10FINGERS AB on Monday to talk about Corona Paper and Global Game Jam
On Monday’s hangout we’ll be talking with Stian Saunes from 10FINGERS AB about Corona Paper, the digital magazine devoted to mobile development using Corona SDK. The first issue of the magazine was published just before the new year and I had the opportunity to consume every inch of my copy in the span of a 3 hour flight to Dallas. Stian Saunes, one of Corona Paper’s Technical Editors, is going to hangout with us and tell us where the idea for the magazine came from, why a mobile app studio is also creating a magazine, and what we can expect to see in future issues.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the first issue of Corona Paper. It’s on sale now.
We’ll also be joined by our very own Brent Sorrentino who is going to give us the full story on the upcoming Global Game Jam and how you can get out there and mix it up with other Corona SDK developers.
Be sure to join us at 12pm PST for Monday’s live Corona Geek hangout or catch the replay on the Corona Geek YouTube channel.
See you on Monday,
Charles McKeever

Posted at 11:39h, 13 JanuaryHi,
The CoronaPaper publication seems pretty interesting but when I went to view the sample in Safari on my iPad, unlike on my MacBook Pro, the content (including text) didn’t seem to resize properly rendering the text very poorly when zoomed in. The webpage also as a button suggesting that CoronaPaper is available on the App Store but clicking that link only opens iTunes. Even searching explicitly for CoronaPaper (or variations of that) returns no results. What am I missing here?
Thx!

Posted at 00:55h, 14 JanuaryHi, Ken.
We are aware of the rendering problem and believe us, we’re working very hard to fix it. We’re currently not available on the App-Store. The app-store button you are referring to is at Joomag’s (our publishing platform) site and is, or should be, linking to their magazine reader app. We’re sorry about the confusion.

Posted at 10:32h, 17 JanuaryHi Stian,
Thanks for the clarification. I hope you’ll let everyone know when the rendering is corrected. I’m considering subscribing with the intent of reading the magazine on my iPad.
Cheers! Ken
PS: Just saw part of the interview on Corona Geek where you say you’re an audio guy. Me too though I do visual effects for a living. I’ve got Figure on my iPhone 🙂
